Four Months have passed
and I am still waiting for
my official Hungarian National ID card...
In the fall of 1997 and for the purpose of establishing official dual citizenship I asked for my Hungarian
passport. Eighteen months later my Hungarian passport arrived in the mail and it was valid for five years from the
summer of 1999 to the summer of 2004. In October 2004 I permanently moved to HUNGARY my only country of
citizenship remaining after I resigned my U.S. citizenship in September 2004. My expired Hungarian passport
was kept by customs officials in Budapest upon entering Hungary and the very next day I went down to the
government office in Velence to get my official Hungarian National ID card. Four months later I am still
waiting to get my official Hungarian National ID card...
I received my ID card on 02.MAR.2005...

On the one year anniversary of the 06-DEC-2004 democratic vote to not extend Hungarian citizenship rights and privileges to Hungarians living outside of Hungary
I returned my Hungarian citizenship...
